Game Designer (Contract)

The Project:
I’m a solo developer working on an indie horror game. The project is already in development, and I’m looking for a designer to collaborate with me to refine the game play loop, player experience, and core mechanics. The goal is to deliver a focused, atmospheric horror game that’s both engaging and terrifying.

What I Need:

  • Help defining and polishing the core design (mechanics, systems, pacing).

  • Input on level flow and player interactions.

  • Clear design documentation I can implement into the game.

  • A collaborative partner who can give feedback and refine ideas within the project’s indie scope.

Requirements:

  • Some game design experience (please link portfolio, projects, or demos).

  • Understanding of horror design principles (pacing, tension, player psychology).

  • Able to work within the constraints of a small, solo-dev project.

Bonus Points:

  • Unity experience (especially with prototyping or design implementation).

  • Experience with horror/narrative-driven games.

Contract Details:

  • Type: Fixed-price contract.

  • Length: Short-term (around 4 weeks).

  • Pay: Negotiable based on experience and deliverables.
